How to Tunnel IPv6 over an IPv4 MPLS L3 VPN Cloud – The Evil Corp ISP Use Case – Merry Christmas!!!

In this video tutorial we lay the foundation for our upcoming IPv6 Provider Edge (6PE) conversation by looking first at how we can tunnel IPv6 over an IPv4 MPLS L3 VPN environment. This use case is assuming that the Provider is unable to offer IPv6 services at the edge of their network and has yet to ‘dual stack’ their Provider Edge (PE) routers. This solution could fit the use case of a customer who wants to run IPv6 at two or more of their locations and does not need the Provider to be involved. We even set up OSPFv3 without Address Families (AF) to run over our newly-formed tunnel! Enjoy!
