In this video, we take our first look at what Software Defined Networking is all about through the lens of Packet Tracer activity 8.8.2 – Compare Using CLI and an SDN Controller to Manage a Network. We examine the old-school screen scrape approach or use of Expect/SNMP/scripts to manage network devices and then dive into the Packet Tracer simulated SDN controller to add all the devices in our topology and then to push network configuration to them. We then validate that our changes were successfully applied. Enjoy!
