In this video tutorial we continue examining the BGP Best Path Selection Algorithm by looking at the 5th selection criteria: ORIGIN Type. This BGP Well-Known Mandatory Path Attribute (PA), which is communicated to eBGP peers in UPDATE messages, is used as the defining selection criteria when the WEIGHT, LOCAL_PREF, Local Origination, and AS_PATH are all the same.
